Hope Filled New Year

The scripture reading today in my daily devotional was Lamentations 3 written by the prophet Jeremiah. Lamentations has been called the “book of tears.” Jeremiah wept because his people had rejected their God, the God who made them, loved them, and sought repeatedly to bless them.

Sometimes we may be like Jeremiah and begin to feel hopeless. We allow our human fears to overwhelm our divine hope. Sometimes New Years Eve can only magnify the feeling.

Don’t ever lose hope in our great God. In the words of Jeremiah may I remind you, “The Lord’s great Love never ceases, His mercies never end, they are new every morning, great is His faithfulness.” There is always, may I repeat always, hope.

Thank you again for your support and may you have a hope filled New Year.
