The Apostle Paul warns us,  “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Last month I had the opportunity to share a message at a church in Blue Ridge Illinois. On the way to the church, I passed the “Trust Me Tavern.”  New Year’s Eve the “Trust Me Tavern” was probably full of people trusting in Spirits and it was not the Holy one. Before Thanksgiving I thought it would neat to offer communion at the assisted living community where I lead Bible study. The elements are blessed by our Pastor and then members of the church are able to take communion to shut-ins. It was such a great privilege to be able to do this. Before leaving the church with the communion elements I was told to make sure to keep the juice in a cool place. If it was not kept cool it could turn to wine.
