Jesus calls us to be the light of the world. To lead people out of the darkness and into His wonderful light. A couple years ago I was delivering Christmas gift bags to shut-ins. One of the houses I stopped at no one was home, so I left a message on the answering machine. A few hours later a lady called, anxious for me to deliver the gift. Last week I had the pleasure of speaking at two churches in the Decatur area. The second church was a small country church. Nothing against the newer churches, but the older churches have so much character. If only the walls could talk. As the service began I waited for the acolyte (altar boy) to come in and light the candles on the altar. The altar boy turned out to be an elderly man.
