Like Us
The last few months I have been working on a second edition of my book. God brought me four wonderful people who have been kind enough to donate their time and energy on this project. Finishing up the second edition has caused me to reflect back on the first.
I had finished the first edit and was talking to a Christian brother, Ben, who had donated his time to design The Prodigal One web-site. He was sharing some of his ideas on how to market the book.
He thought it would be a good idea to write a weekly blog and create a Facebook page to go along with the web-site. Ben explained how I needed a 100 “Likes” on Facebook to gain some credibility. I told Ben I had no idea of what he was talking about, but he assured me my sons could help.
When I came home that evening I asked my son Jon about the 100 “Likes” and he told me it would be no problem. He would just have his friends like The Prodigal One on Facebook.
When the time came to put Jon’s plan into action I backed out. I had trusted God to guide me in this journey, but I felt if I manipulated the numbers I would be straying off the path God had laid for me. After all, straying off the path and manipulating numbers was what landed me in prison.
I decided I would let those who actually liked The Prodigal One, “Like Us”. We are up to 41 likes. Many the people who “Liked Us” I had not met before my incarceration. They, like the others who have “Liked Us” have been an inspiration. We still have 59 likes to go so if the Spirit moves you and you have not yet done so please “Like Us” on Facebook.
