This morning I was thinking about how excited my sons used to be on Christmas Eve. The excitement would increase throughout the day as they anticipated arrival of Santa Claus. If you have had children I am certain you can relate. As we approach the end of Advent we as Christians need to have that same excitement. Not because of the coming of Claus but because of the coming of Christ and the celebration of His birth. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

This past Saturday the 31st I was out running errands and instead of wishing people a Happy New Year I kept wishing them a Merry Christmas. When Christ is the center of your Christmas it is a little harder to let go of Christmas and move into a New Year. After running my errands and wishing everyone Merry Christmas I went home, listened to some Christian Christmas music and started to take down the tree.
