Last fall I had the opportunity to spend time with former inmate Bill Corum author of the book The Ultimate Pardon.

After dinner Bill and I talked, he gave me a copy of one of his books and inside, he wrote the following, “So good to meet you and know we are in the same war. Stay in the battle.”

When Bill told me to stay in the battle he was referring to Spiritual warfare. I began thinking about staying in the battle which led me to think about peace. I pray for peace every morning, but I think I was praying more for peace from the battle instead of peace for the battle.

Jesus assures us that as His followers, “in this world we will have trouble.” The Apostles Paul tells us, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil.”

So, get ready to go to war, put on the armor of God and stay in the battle because Jesus has already won the war.
