Many of you may have spent the last few days shopping for Christmas. The items you purchased for one reason or another may need to be returned. The stores usually have a return policy. In most instances the only thing needed is a receipt to return the item. No receipt, no return.

Jesus has a return policy. We call it Advent and it begins today. The season of advent which means “coming” or “visit” begins four Sundays before Christmas and ends on Christmas Eve. During Advent, we prepare for, and anticipate the return of Christ.

This year, along with preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus may we also prepare for His return. May we read our Bible’s a little longer, pray a little harder and love with all our hearts.

Most important, if you have not already done so, declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved(Romans 10:9) because that is God’s return policy.
