Last week I was going write a follow-up to the blog written on July 19th and even put a precursor at the end of the blog. It was going to be another story about the adventures of my dad and my Uncle Verne. It was a good story but something was missing. My son Nick proof read it and asked me where God was in the story. When I showed him, he told me it appeared to him I put God in as an afterthought. Wow that hurt. He reminded me these blogs are about God and the story goes along with it, not the story and how God fits in.

Nick told me work needed to be done before he would post it. I tried to rework it but hit a brick wall. This never happened before.

I know it is only a blog but that’s how it starts. Give God second billing on a blog and pretty soon He is second in other areas of my life. Before I know it I am back where I started. We know where that led. Thanks to Nick (and Jon this afternoon) I was reminded of an important lesson. Before I do anything I will put God first.
