Lost Along the Way

Yesterday, July 6th I had the opportunity to share the “Good News” with a group of men at the Sheridan Correctional Center. It wasn’t my first time behind the fence at Sheridan because thirty-five years ago a group of us played softball against the inmates.
I remember on the way home we stopped at a bar and talked about how nice it was to be free. We were kidding ourselves because most of us were slaves to sin. I especially, became lost along the way and had to go to jail to get my freedom back.
It was great to spend time yesterday with those, who like me had become “lost along away” and listening to the stories about how they found God in prison. The truth is, God was never lost we were.
