The book of Exodus tells the story of the Israelites long way home to the Promised Land. The trip should have taken eleven days but because of their disobedience it took 40 years.

I took the same road of disobedience.

I prayed every night as a child and read my first Bible in the third grade. I was on the right path, until I became lost and wandered many years before coming back home.

Whether it takes 11 days or 40 years to come home the reception is always the same. Angels rejoice in Heaven (Luke 15:10) as the Father runs to the son (or Daughter), throws his arms around them and kisses them (Luke 15:20).
