According to an article published by Men’s Fitness, Americans drink 325 million gallons of beer on Superbowl Sunday. Some of those drinking may become intoxicated.

The Apostle Paul has a better way to spend Super Bowl Sunday. Paul said, “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” (Ephesians 5: 18)

The fruits of the vine can lead to a hangover while the fruit of the Spirit leads to love, peace, and joy. Drinking too many spirits one can lose control and spiral out of control, but the Holy Spirit gives us self-control.

This Sunday the only spirit we should be under the influence of, is the Holy One.
