I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

The “I was” is Jesus. Jesus assures us that whatever we do for one of the least of these, we are doing it for Him. (Matthew 25:35-40)

I never reached out to the “I was” until after I became one. Now, I try to take advantage of every opportunity the Lord gives me to do so.

May we all help the “I was” because of all that He has done.(John 3:16-17)
