Hope
I had been spending sometime in the valleys the last couple of weeks until I received a testimony from a friend from high school that sent me a review of “Therefore I Have Hope.”
“Therefore I Have Hope is an excellent read, I finished it in one day! John’s raw descriptions let me actually “feel” his pain, guilt, fear and ultimately…his sole reliance on God through his journey.
As a recovering drug addict, I’ve felt the same way. Without my faith, I dare think where I’d be today! This book gives so many examples of God working, behind the scenes, in John’s life.
God does allow consequences for our choices, but if we simply reach for His hand and sincerely repent…He gives us HOPE and promises to walk with us every step of the way. John’s book gave me hope and showed me that even those consequences can be used to glorify God’s name!”
I am grateful for the review but even more grateful that once again there is proof that “We know in all things (even prison sentences and drug addictions) God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
