Earlier this week August decided to come early here in Central Illinois. It was 90 degrees outside but felt like 120 degrees inside where I was working at my cleaning job. I was physically and spiritually beat, and decided it would be a good idea to let God know how I felt.

As I was emptying my mop bucket I said, “Lord, my sin is ever before me.” (psalm 51:3) As soon as the words left my mouth the Lord replied very clearly, “My grace is greater than your sin.”

I once read that grace is getting what you don’t deserve, mercy is not getting what you do deserve. The Apostle Paul assures us, “But where sin increased, grace increased all the more…” (Romans 5:20)

If you are struggling with your past or present transgressions may I remind you what the Lord reminded me, that the His grace is greater than your sin.
