Free To Go
Two years ago, a young lady from Atlanta, Georgia called and asked if I could be the keynote speaker at Christian Library International’s Advance the Light Dinner in Atlanta. I must admit at first, I thought it was a hoax but when I realized it wasn’t I quickly accepted the invitation.
There was one hitch though, I was still on probation and would need permission from my probation officer to attend the event. I requested to travel and a couple of days later out of the goodness of the probation officers heart he responded that I was free to go.
Upon my return home from Atlanta the offer to speak extended to the dinners in Raleigh and Charlotte. I requested permission from my probation officer and after calling the founder of Christian Library international he told me that I was free to go.
Last year a last-minute request came for me to speak in Atlanta. I agreed but still on probation I needed permission. I sent a travel request and the officer immediately replied that I was free to go.
This Tuesday the 3rd I will be back in Raleigh for another Advance the Light Dinner. Off of probation, I don’t need permission to go because I am physically and spiritually free to go.
