Fish Tale
While in prison I took my Bible everywhere and spent most of my time reading it. One day one of the inmates asked me, “Are you a Bible thumper?”
I replied, “I am not sure what a Bible thumper is, but it is God’s words and I believe everything in it to be true.”
The inmate said, “Surely you are not dumb enough to believe Jonah was swallowed up by a big fish and ended up in its belly for 3 days.”
I said, “If God said it, I believe it.”
The inmate continued, “You know you will never be able to find out if it happened.”
I said, “When I get to Heaven, I am going to ask Jonah about it.”
The inmate asked, “What happens if Jonah is not in Heaven?”
I said, “Then you can ask him.”
I am pretty sure when we as believers get to Heaven we will get to see Jesus and Jonah face to face and that is no fish tale.
