Feeling Like A Kid Again
I remember when I was a little boy waking up early on Christmas morning. Actually, it was probably closer to Christmas Eve than Christmas morning. I would rush into my parent’s room to tell them it was time get up and open presents. My dad would tell me it was way too early, to go back to my room and go to sleep. Sleep? I couldn’t sleep it was Christmas morning.
I had that same feeling last Sunday. It wasn’t Christmas but it sure felt like it. I was given another opportunity to share my message with the people at my home church. It was excitement and anticipation (more likely the Holy Spirit) that woke me up early Sunday morning. I didn’t have to worry about waking my Father because He was already there. Then again, He always is and always has been. Before leaving for the church I spent some time praying and reading His Word. After that, I was ready to go.
It was a great service and an all around great day. The church was filled with The Holy Spirit and the day could not have been any better. The whole experience left me feeling like a kid in a candy store. Or, better yet, feeling like a kid again on Christmas morning.
