The headline of Monday’s newspaper read “Christians Mark An Easter Like No Other.” Fearful of death and disease or because churches were on lockdown most Christians spent Easter in their homes. Easter may have been out of the ordinary, but it was just like another.

John 20:19 tells us the first disciples spent Easter behind locked doors fearful for their lives. They thought their church (Jesus) was locked down in the grave, but He rose, stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.”

This year was not the first time Christians have worshipped behind closed doors and it will not be the last. But whatever happens may the Lord’s “Peace be with you.”
