With all the chaos in the world we could all use a little peace. For years every morning I prayed for peace from the battle instead of peace for the battle. Jesus assures us that as His followers, “in this world we will have trouble.” Jesus’ ministry was hardly one of peace. Jesus The Messiah?

I began reading the Gospel of Matthew and noticed four Old Testament prophecies pointing to Jesus as the Messiah were fulfilled in the first two chapters. There are over 300 prophecies about Jesus as the Messiah. Mathematics Professor Peter Stoner made the statement that the chances of just 8 prophecies coming true by sheer chance would be equivalent to covering the whole state of Texas with silver dollars two feet deep and then expecting a blindfolded man to walk across the state and on the very first try find the ONE coin you marked. Stay on Track

I read an analogy that the difficult feelings we go through are tunnels and we are trains traveling through them. Jesus is the light at the end of the tunnel and in Him there is no darkness. Holocaust survivor Corrie Ten Bloom said, “When the train goes through a tunnel and the world gets dark, do you jump out? Of course not. You sit still and trust the engineer to get you through.” if you are going through a tunnel now, pray and meditate on God’s Word to stay on track and keep your eyes on the engineer, He is always in complete control.

I met a Pastor who told me his greatest passion was to witness the “Good News” of Jesus Christ. When his granddaughter was getting married, she sent the future groom over to meet him. The young man was a non-believer and although the Pastor tried the young man would not accept the invitation. Before he left the Pastor asked if it was okay to pray for the young man.
