Sometimes God’s way may not be our way, but God’s way is way better. God’s way is the only way. Twenty-five years ago, a young pastor prayed for a large congregation. His prayers were answered when he became Chaplain at the Pekin Federal Prison. This obviously was not the Pastor’s way, but it was God’s way. Today the Chaplain will be the first one to tell you that God’s way is way better. God’s way to Heaven? Jesus is the only way. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. This is God’s way and God’s way is the only way and God’s way is way better.

Change is never easy. Last week we received news that our Pastor (Pastor Mary) is transferring to a new church. Pastor Mary has been my God appointed mentor, a beacon of light for me and my family and proof that love never fails. When I went into his room, he was watching the game with a friend. I reminded him about the study but was told he would …..

A friend of mine invited a young man who was a non-believer to his church. While attending the service the young man gave his life to Christ. Soon after he would be baptized and began attending church every Sunday. A month later when I was introduced to him, he had fallen away from the church. I talked to the young man about spending time every day with the Lord but, he replied, “I got this.” He apparently didn’t need God’s help anymore. He may have told me “I got this” but I had to wonder if he ever had IT at all. Jesus said,”  If you remain in me and …..
