A New You
The Apostle Paul said, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
The older we get the harder it seems to change, even when we know it is for our own good. When we are unwilling or unable to change people may say that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
I did a little research on teaching old dogs new tricks and found out that adult dogs are often even easier to train than pups, simply because they have the ability to focus for a longer period of time.
As believers, the new trick is to think differently. Paul tells us old dogs how to think we just need to obey.
Paul said, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
It’s possible for old dogs to learn new tricks if they have the right master. It’s a new year and a new you.
