In the book of Daniel, we are introduced to Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego.  The King ordered everyone to bow down and worship a 90 feet high golden statue made in his image or be thrown into a fiery furnace. The three men of God refused and were tied up and thrown into the furnace. The King looked into the furnace and saw a 4^th man who “looked like Sons of Gods.”

Scholars have said it was a preincarnate of Jesus. The three men walked out of the fire without a hair on their head being singed.

Jesus is still with us today.

Jesus is with us when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. (Psalm 23:4)

Jesus is with us: When we pass through the waters and when we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us. When we walk through the fire, we will not be burned; the flames will not set us ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2)
