I Am

Last week I read that at the turn of the twentieth century, The London Times posed the question to its readers What’s wrong with the world?
The English writer, poet, and philosopher G. K. Chesterton’s four-word response, was: “Dear Sirs, I am.”
The Apostle Paul had the same answer. Paul said Jesus came to save (“sinners”): “of whom I am the worst”. Paul knew Sin was what was wrong with the world and the grace of our Lord was the only hope of making it right.
I too am a sinner saved by grace, so I am no longer who I used to be. Now I am who I am because the Great “I Am” (Exodus 3:14) is who He is.
