God is Faithful
Every morning during prayer time I pray for our cars. Like me, they are getting up there in age and miles and need all the help they can get. I pray they keep running but if they don’t, I pray God provides us a way to fix them or a way to purchase a new (used) one when they inevitably run out of gas. Every time there has been a need God has provided a way because He is the way. God has been faithful.
Last Friday I took my 2001 LeSabre into the shop for front brakes but received a call that much more would be needed. Years ago, I would have responded to the news by grabbing a beer but instead I grabbed my Bible. After I hung up the phone I did what I always do when feeling overwhelmed, I gave it to God.
After reading my Bible I began to make lunch and listen to “How Great is our God” by Chris Tomlin. As the song was playing, I received the following text from the dealership, “Your Lesabre is ready. Praise the Lord a Good Samaritan stepped forward and paid your ticket. He called and did not say who he was.”
Another text followed, “Our God is faithful.” I couldn’t agree more.
