This past Monday, the 17th, was my last day of probation. That morning when I got into the car the first words I heard out of the radio were “I am a child of God.” “I am a child of God” is a song by Bethel Music.

I thought, thank you Lord. I have been called a lot of names over the past few years and some of them were not very pleasant. What a wonderful reminder, especially that morning of who I am. I am a child of God.

I am a child of God and so are you. Don’t let anyone tell you any differently. I used to be afraid of what people called me, but not now. Now, my only concern is what God calls me. Because as song says, “I am no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God.”
