Today there are many ways for us to remain connected with friends and family. My sons play Words with Friends with their grandmas, aunts and cousins on Facebook. It’s a way to spend time with those miles away and to stay connected.

I stay connected with people through Facebook and have made some wonderful connections recently through Linkedin. Through the internet I have had also had the opportunity to re-connect with my kindergarten teacher even though we have not seen each other for over 30 years.

Technology is great, but my favorite way to connect is a way that was given to me last Christmas. My mom gave me the same Daily Devotional that she was planning on using for the upcoming year. I love the fact that my mom and I read the same devotional and same Scripture every morning. Sometimes it feels like she is right there with me.
