A Year in Review
Over the past year I have had the opportunity to speak at several churches and work with many prison ministries.
I hope one day I will be able to join these ministries and go back into prison and share my story about the King of glory. I was once asked how after being incarcerated how I could ever go back. The reason is simple. People involved in prison ministries save lives.
These are people that could be doing other things, but they choose to come into prisons to share the gospel. They come because they love God and they love the inmates. Meeting people like this becomes infectious. You want what they have and what they have is a relationship with Christ.
The highlight of the year was being asked to be keynote speaker for Christian Library International in Atlanta, Charlotte and Raleigh. I had taken CLI’s correspondence course in prison and was finally able to meet and thank the people at CLI face to face. This opportunity has taught me that nothing is impossible with God.
I have no idea of what is ahead in 2016 but I know God will be leading and I know I will follow. I would like to wish everyone a blessed New Year. May 2016 bring you opportunities to do great things for the God of second chances.
