POW

Last weekend I had the opportunity to speak at Camp Emmanuel in Astoria Illinois. During WW2 Camp Emmanuel was known as Camp Ellis and housed Prisoners of War. Now the camp is owned by a group of Churches and is used for Christian retreats throughout the year.

God has a way of turning prisons into palaces. That is what God is doing at the county jail. Men and women are accepting Christ and using their time as a retreat and a way to draw closer to God.

The jail is no longer a physical prison but a Spiritual palace where Christ is King. The inmates have gone from being Prisoners Of the World to Prisoners Of the Word.
