Organ Transplant

Recently one of my friends had an organ transplant. Several weeks ago, while I was praying I began thinking of the donor. Because of the donor, my friend would have new life, but the donor would need to lose theirs. So, I began praying for the donor and that their name was written in the book of life.

I have been thinking of organ donors lately. It seems like there are many people in our world suffering with spiritual heart disease. The symptoms are hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, and envy. If left uncured it may lead to a hardened heart.

Fortunately, there is a cure. The one afflicted only needs to, “seek the Lord with all their heart.” But they must act quickly, because if left unattended the patient may not hear the Great Physician when He calls.

The Great Physician tells us, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

The cure leads to the patient experiencing an abundance of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control. Don’t let the expense of the surgery hold you back because the bill has already been paid at the cross of Calvary.
